Like A Tomb 04:01
"Like A Tomb" by Liam Kyle Cahill I’ve seen the sky above Provide freedom for the dove I’ve watched the days go by I’ve sat around instead of learning how to fly I’m searching from within But I feel my brain is made of straw and my heart of tin I am feeling desperate and alone And I am drifting farther from my home At some point everybody here will know That they could use a jumpstart for their soul (yeah for their heart and soul) And I’ve been there once, hell I’m here now And I can’t wait around to wonder why I have been deceived My heart is like a tomb that’s blocked... ...And I’ve tried so hard to pick the locks But I can’t, so I’m looking for the key So I planned to hit the road Virginia’s all I know Will she take me back? Don’t you know I’m dying from the other kind of heart attack? The mile markers pass And both my inner fire and the car are running out of gas I am feeling desperate and alone And I am drifting farther from my home At some point everybody here will know That they could use a jumpstart for their soul (yeah for their heart and soul) And I’ve been there once, hell I’m here now And I can’t wait around to wonder why I have been deceived My heart is like a tomb that’s blocked... ...And I’ve tried so hard to pick the locks But I can’t, so I’m looking for the key

One Spark 03:16
"One Spark" by Liam Kyle Cahill Life and bricks and stones and sticks They break our bones, we get our kicks But all the words that one could say Will hurt the most to you in every way I have seen how much it hurts And I know that love can hurt the worst But all the words that one could say Will hurt the most to you in every way And I give love cuz love is what I’ve found It brings a smile to my face when I am feeling down So if you have something to say that your mother won’t approve Hold your tongue and turn yourself around, you’ve nothing left to lose Fight yourself and that mask you wear Tonight break free, take flight, you’ve won But all the words that one could say Will hurt the most to you in every way And I give love cuz love is what I’ve found It brings a smile to my face when I am feeling down So if you have something to say that your mother won’t approve Hold your tongue and turn yourself around, you’ve nothing left to lose Just bring it one more time, you shout insults at me Now I am not around, you shout insults at nothing All the words that you used to say Can’t touch my optimism anyway And I give love cuz love is what I’ve found It brings a smile to my face when I am feeling down So if you have something to say that your mother won’t approve Hold your tongue and turn yourself around, you’ve everything to lose Cuz in this life we get one chance to give it all we’ve got So close one eye and take good aim, this is your only shot I’m on my knees and praying hard that we all make the mark Love can answer any question all it needs is just one spark

"Don't Call Me Charlie Part 1" by Liam Kyle Cahill Late last week you left My heavy heart was so scared to leave you But in the waking light My weary smile grew tired from trying to please you How do you present yourself for all the world to see When I can’t, but I hope, it’s faithfully Don’t call me Charlie There’s have a gaping hole where a woman used to be Don’t call me Charlie Its not an ocean of jealous, its just a little jealousy Time flies when you’re throwing clocks And hearts, they break when you’re throwing rocks You were my princess I was just the beggar for your love I promised I would never use your name In a song, so I’ll use John’s, instead Don’t call me Charlie There’s have a gaping hole where a woman used to be Don’t call me Charlie Its not an ocean of jealous, its just a little jealousy

"Don't Call Me Charlie Part 2" by Liam Kyle Cahill Please don’t let it go to your head But you wrote these words even more than I did She said I don’t know you anymore and I said “Oh no, no…you never did” Please don’t let it go to your head But you wrote these words even more than I did She said I don’t know you anymore and I said “Oh no, no…you never did” Please don’t let it go to your head But you wrote these words so much more than I did She said I don’t know you anymore and I said “Oh no, no…you never did” Please don’t let it go to your head But you wrote these words ten-fold more than I did She said I don’t know you anymore and I said “Oh no, no…you never did”

"The Key To Happiness" by Liam Kyle Cahlil Never seek and always find “History doesn’t repeat itself but it rhymes” There’s a plank in my identity We all see what we really want to see I know you’re lonely, but you’re not alone Not every bright light leads you home I have seen all the places on her shore And I know all the faces of love and more (But) I don’t know the way Don’t know the way I don’t know the way And I don’t have the words to say If love is a dream then do not wake me Heaven knows I haven’t been sleeping lately Singing once is kinda like praying twice When melody alone will suffice (But) I don’t know the way Don’t know the way I don’t know the way And I don’t have the patience to stay Friends and family play their part In the fullest orchestration of my heart I wanna be the one who’s all in for this That’s the key that fits the lock to your happiness

Backbone 04:22
"Backbone" by Liam Kyle Cahill Never let a wishbone grow where a backbone ought to be Let all of your work be done with love Well my name is Liam, I’m a young man If you count the score by age I work in the mines to bring home the bread Yeah it’s an honest, hard earned wage It’s funny how I never realized where I would end up in just Five years time Well that’s just proof that when you’re in your youth You can confuse your truth with mine I don’t know where I am going For I barely know where I’ve been But I will drink another shot of whiskey Yeah it warms me from within Very few of us deserve what we get Or get what we deserve Never let a wishbone grow where a backbone ought to be Let all of your work be done with love Never let a wishbone grow where a backbone ought to be Let all of your work be done with love The carpenter sold me his axe The axe, it portrayed a hammer Now rusty saw blades cut right to the core of what matters And everything that matters most is miles and miles away So I listen to that carpenter and take... It day by day, by day by day, by day today By day by day, by day by day, by day today, yeah

Sunrise 05:06
"Sunrise" by Liam Kyle Cahill In the morning I awake, and open my eyes I look out to the sun, from mountains it will rise I wish that you could see, all her beauty Fifteen years have passed, but I’m not looking back I’m looking for words, to say So you know, everything’s gunna be okay! Pass the pictures around, I long to see the face Of my memories forgotten from that childhood place We sang and we danced, we kicked and we screamed We celebrated living life to the best of our means It’s not our fault and we had no say Cuz life if but a blessing and God will have His way So we said what we had to say and we did what we had to do We made two halves become a whole instead of keeping Tahoe blue I wish that you could see, all her beauty Fifteen years have passed, but I’m not looking back But sometimes late at night, when I close my eyes A silhouetted angel, paints me a sunrise And I feel warm, I feel loved I feel hope, from above And I know, who it’s from

"No More Mountains Left To Climb" by Liam Kyle Cahill Once upon a time in Illinois This is where the story begins; it’s about a boy He had a dream and he realized That if he kept his head down and he became a college boy Well he’d grow up and oh what a joy He’s got a couple of beautiful girls, and seven rowdy boys I know he was proud, he was set in his ways And if he had just one more breath my family, this is what he’d say I am doing fine without you Cuz they are treating me well here And all the pain I was once feeling Is replaced with those loved and lost So take care, cuz all we got is each other I’ve no more mountains left to climb Back to the story, he became a man A man for all of us, but sometimes, he’s hard to understand So he pushed harder, and he pushed some more Always wanted what was best for ya, not knowing what was in store I know he was proud, he was set in his ways And if he had just one more breath my family, this is what he’d say I am doing fine without you Cuz they are treating me well here And all the pain I was once feeling Is replaced with those loved and lost So take care, cuz all we got is each other I’ve no more mountains left to climb It’s the end of his story, but he left a book It’s called “Sweet & Precious Memories”, just close your eyes & have a look I know he was proud, he was set in his ways And if he had just one more breath my family, this is what he’d say I am doing fine without you Cuz they are treating me well here And all the pain I was once feeling Is replaced with those loved and lost So take care, cuz all we got is each other I’ve no more mountains left to climb

"I've Known Rivers" by Liam Kyle Cahill I’ve known rivers ancient, dusky, and cold Water so precious even more when it carries gold Are you going with him, are you coming with me? Do you know what it is yet that you’re going to be? As deep as the river flows As deep as the river goes So is my soul... I’ve known rivers need water like veins need our blood She once held my heart then she dropped it and dragged it through mud A concoction of water and earth drawn into unity Take a look at the wreckage and tell me what is it you see As deep as the river flows As deep as the river goes As deep as the river flows As deep as the river goes So is my soul... I’ve known rivers dammed up, God damn it all Like sandcastles on beaches one day they are going to fall So get me off of my feet, get me off of my feet Cuz all I need is to breath, all I need is to breath As deep as the river flows As deep as the river goes As deep as the river flows As deep as the river goes So is my soul...

"My Sweet Anagram" by Liam Kyle Cahill I was always told I took the so-called right track before I came derailed There you stood along the station of our destiny With a knife and lantern in your hand I guess it’s always meant to be The way the blind are meant to see The winners write the history, yeah Now I’m only wishing you the best of everything But I want you out of my head Nothing’s really holding me down but nothings holding me up I once drank the wine you supplied now nothing’s left in my cup Maria my sweet, Anagram I, wanted you to know The drum beats in your heart, your heart beats in my ear I still miss the comfort of being sad my dear In a sense you held all of my precious innocence Your shoulders bare I grasp the small of your back, but sin has its price To know the price of everything And the value of nothing Black is just another shade of white And silence worth repeating With moral compass pointing south Take another hit from your flask of doubt Paying detail to attention Swore your name I’d never mention Maria my sweet, Anagram I, wanted you to know It’s incredible how this, thing beats in my chest, whenever we get close My wandering mind wondering if you’re fine But just like the leaves fall from the trees I’m learning, to let go...of Maria my sweet, Anagram I, wanted you to know It’s incredible how this, thing beats in my chest, whenever we get close I crave you like a, smoker does a Cigarette but I know, that it’ll kill me

The Show 05:23
"The Show" by Liam Kyle Cahill Take this snapshot in time Find the next words that rhyme I wasn’t happy… But girl you stole - my heart today Take your time, wash your hair It’s all the same things we share Tell me your secrets… Let go of the burdens - that you bear And all my love It was all for show But in this show The stakes are real As the cameras roll and blink red Calmly you collect your head And quietly go back to bed Not a word was said

"Life Before Death" by Liam Kyle Cahill New beauty meets us at every step in all of our Wanderings, yet we are tangled in with patience running thin Still nature sings, yet we miss its call because our cell phone rings That’s just no way to be... Men open your shut-up hearts and think of other people Of creatures bound on other journeys, really what’s your hurry? It makes no sense to me... Live it folks, you’ll be a long time dead Don’t let the worms have all the fun instead In time we find There’s no perfect route, nothing all planned out To gauge our lives Before the last grain passes from our hourglasses Now dance, and don’t say you can’t We all face hardships; you haven’t had your wings clipped One last chance is never guaranteed, so cut your chains And breathe life deep, while dark shadows creep, And once more, Jesus will weep! John Muir said... “No toiler is ever underpaid. Not in these fields, God’s wilds, will you ever hear the sad moan of disappointment; All is vanity. No, we are overpaid a thousand times for all our toil, and a single day in so divine an atmosphere of beauty and love would be well worth living for. And at its close, should death come, without any hope of another life, we could still say, ‘Thank you God, for the glorious gift!’ and pass on.”
